What a fast, fun night of racing action on Saturday, August 26th, at Vado Speedway Park Kid’s Bike Night! 131 bikes found their way home with their new riders, and we had some racing action that dropped your jaw! 🔴⚫🟡🏁🏆
A dense field of 27 Rancho Milagro USRA Modifieds started in the Feature, and only 13 crossed the finish line. Terry Tipton, out of Duncan, AZ, came on down, started 2nd, and stuck it out through a caution-riddled main, picking up his first win at Vado with the only Ford in the field! Second was Carlos Ahumada Jr. and third Donavon Flores.
In our Extreme Landscaping USRA Stock Car Feature, Jason Josselyn, out of Alamogordo, NM, picked up his first Feature win of the season here at Vado Speedway Park! He had a big scare on the first lap in the slick and saved it! In second was Jonathan Burton, and in third was Rob Moseley!
For the first time in 2023, Scott Sullivan, out of T or C, NM, parked it up on Rio Grande Waste Services Victory Lane in his S.H. Automotive Pure Stock! He used the whole track to his advantage and couldn’t have done it without his crew! This one was for Haylie! Second went to Sharri Minks, and third was Chase Ortiz! Ray Abbott smacked the wall pretty good, and we hope he is okay.
Starting 7th in his Anthony Sosa Roofing Late Model, Eric McNutt got stuck in second for a while but got around em and got another win in the bag! He helps a bunch of folks in the class, and we were happy to see him take it. In second was his son Shane McNutt, and in third Josh Cain!
Young gun and 2022 Track Champ Caleb Stelzig out of Albuquerque, NM, came and conquered our POWRI Sunset Grill Non-Winged Sprint Car Feature! Nipping on his heels was Michael Fanelli in second and Spencer Hill in third!
