๐Ÿ“Labor Day POWRi 360 Wing Sprint Car Desert Seriesย – Night 1 Recap atย Vado Speedway Park

What an absolutely wild night we had at Vado Speedway Park! The first of our two-day Labor Day POWRi 360 Wing Sprint Car Desert Series showdown left fans breathless with edge-of-your-seat action, as we witnessed some of the best racing talent from the Southwest battling it out on the dirt.

Hulsey Racingย Legends: A Comeback Story for the Ages

The Hulsey Racing Legends feature kicked off the night with a thriller.ย Cj Hulsey, who hadnโ€™t raced a Legends car in years, made a triumphant return by dethroning the undefeatedย Aydan Saunders. The race took a dramatic turn whenย Luke Solisย flipped his car in a spectacular crash, prompting a brief pause as safety crews and his father rushed to his aid. Thankfully, Solis emerged unscathed, showcasing the resilience and determination of these young drivers. Starting from 12th, CJ methodically picked his way through the field in his #69 machine, setting up a late-race showdown with Saunders. The two traded slide jobs and crossovers in a battle that had the crowd on their feet. In the end, Hulseyโ€™s experience and determination carried him to victory, making his first appearance of the season a memorable one. This win proves that you can never count out a veteran, no matter how long theyโ€™ve been away from the track.

Extreme Landscapingย USRAย Stock Cars: The Hurricane Strikes Again

Next up, we had the Extreme Landscaping USRA Stock Cars, where The Hurricane,ย Josh Cain, lived up to his nickname. Starting from 12th, Josh methodically picked off competitors, making his way to the front with calculated aggression. By the halfway mark, he was in the lead, and despite challenges fromย Javie Chรกvezย andย Jonathan Burton, Cain was uncatchable. The Hurricane took his ninth win of the season, showing why he’s one of the most dominant forces in this class. As we head into the final stretch of the season, Cainโ€™s performance has everyone wondering if thereโ€™s anyone who can stop him outside of his victory lane bestie, Mr.ย Rob Moseley.

The main event of the night was the POWRi 360 Wing Sprint Car Desert Series, and it did not disappoint.ย Kyle Mccutcheon, making his first start of the year, put on an absolute clinic. Starting from sixth, McCutcheon quickly worked his way to the front, taking the lead from the very fastย Aydan Saundersย with a bold move through lap traffic. From there, McCutcheon never looked back, holding off challenges from Thomas Meseraull andย Caleb Saizย to claim a hard-fought victory. This win marked a triumphant return for McCutcheon, who showed that even after a layoff, heโ€™s still got what it takes to win at the highest level. The roar of the crowd as McCutcheon crossed the finish line said it allโ€”this was a comeback for the ages, and Vado Speedway Park was the perfect stage for it.

Anthony Sosa Roofingย Late Models: Chaos and Carnage

The Anthony Sosa Roofing Late Models brought the chaos, with multiple cautions and a red flag incident that saw several cars tangled up in turn two. Amidst the carnage, it wasย Keko Pรฉrezย who emerged victorious. Perez, who started third, took the lead after an unfortunate incident sidelined early leader Arturo Ordonez. Perez held off a late charge fromย Josh Cainย to claim his second win of the season, much to the delight of the fans. Although the race ended under caution due to time limits, Perezโ€™s performance was nothing short of impressive. It was a well-earned victory in a race that tested the mettle of every driver on the track.

Hacienda Carpet and Tileย USRAย B-Mods: Barraza Drips Swag On Victory Lane

Hectorย “Bad Bunny”ย Barrazaย put on a clinic in the Hacienda Carpet Tile USRA B-Mods feature. Starting in the middle of the pack, Barraza worked his way to the front with precision, battling it out with the likes of Michael Hartman andย Jon Ortega. Bad Bunny Barraza took the win with style and confidence in a race with incidents galore and fierce battles throughout the pack. In Rio Grande Waste Services Victory Lane, Barraza was as dazzling as his shimmering glasses, proclaiming his car the best on the track and vowing to win again tonight. His victory was backed by a stellar team effort, including support from his uncle, dad, and theย Gallardo Racingย family. With this win, Barraza reminded everyone that he’s still a force to be reckoned with. Don’t miss tonightโ€™s action as he looks to make it two in a row!
