For the third-straight year Shocks by Hammer is continuing its support of the RHRSwag.com Truck Accessories X-Mod division presented by Barnett Harley Davidson at the Wild West Shootout.

On each of the six race nights at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park, the Brian Diede led company will pay $50 each to the first four non-qualifiers in RHRSwag.com Truck Accessories X-Mod competition.

“In 2021 we changed things up with our sponsorship to provide some cash to guys, who didn’t have the best of nights, and I really got a lot of positive feedback on it, so we’re doing it again for 2022,” Diede said. “The Wild West Shootout is a cool deal, and a lot of racers from my area make the tow out there to race every year. It’s a good time, and it’s an event I’m proud to sponsor.”

A Huron, South Dakota-based shock-service business launched in 2011 by veteran Upper Midwest racer Brian Diede, Shocks by Hammer returns for a second year to sponsor the winter motorsports extravaganza that features six evenings of action for X-Mods as well as Super Late Models and Modifieds.

“The X-Mod division has grown to be a loaded field each-and-every year at the Wild West Shootout,” said event coordinator Ben Shelton. “Some of these racers travel over 20 hours to be at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park, so it’s awesome to have Shocks by Hammer continuing to sponsor some extra cash for these competitors on a nightly basis.”

Shocks by Hammer specializes in custom shock packages for competitors across North America. The company’s repertoire includes drivers in all divisions of dirt track racing.

Additionally, Shocks by Hammer offers extensive services for the Fox Shocks utilized on Ford Raptor trucks. From rebuilds to repairs to complete replacements, the South Dakota company has become a one-stop shop for your Ford Raptor shock needs.

X-Mod drivers competing in the 2022 Wild West Shootout will also chase a points fund provided by title sponsor RHRSwag.com and presenting sponsor Barnett Harley-Davidson. A $1,000 payoff has been posted for the champion of the six-race X-Mod miniseries, which includes $1,000-to-win features on January 8, 9, 15, and 16 and $500-to-win programs on January 12 and 14. The division’s total points fund is $2,500 in cash to be shared among the top-five finishers.

Online sales of single and multi-day tickets continue for the Southwest’s popular miniseries, which features six nights of racing from January 8 – 16 for Super Late Models, Modifieds and X-Mods at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park.

A six-day general admission combo ticket is available for $150 and includes a pit-pass upgrade for one night as chosen by the purchaser as well as a free Wild West Shootout seat cushion.

Additionally, reserved seating is now available for 6-day packages and is $150 plus a $12 processing fee per package from the ticket vendor. Reserved 6-day packages also include a one-night pit pass upgrade as well as an event-branded seat cushion.

Individual day general admission tickets are priced at $25 per night for adults and $10 for kids ages 6-12 with children 5-and-under admitted free of charge.

Advanced tickets can be purchased online at at www.wildwestshootout.net/buy-tickets/ .

The 2022 edition of the event will be held on January 8, 9, 12, 14, 15 and 16 at the state-of-the-art, 3/8-mile oval, situated conveniently on I-10 between Las Cruces and El Paso.

Over $250,000 in prize money will be on the line during the 16th Annual Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts. The event includes six complete programs for three divisions.

Additionally, the Penske Racing Shocks $300,000 Paydirt Jackpot was recently announced, which offers a $300,000 bonus for any Super Late Model driver who can win all six nights. The bonus program also includes a $100,000 incentive for five wins and a $25,000 bonus for four miniseries victories.

Each race night finds the Dirt Track Bank Super Late Models presented by Black Diamond Race Cars, Mesilla Valley Transportation/ Border Tire Modifieds, and RHRSwag.com X-Mods presented by Barnett Harley Davidson competing in action.

Open practice sessions are slated for both January 7 and January 11.
