Jaden Manick Gallivan won the Claimer main event.

Saturday night, October 2nd was the Rancho Milagro Fan Appreciation Night at the Vado Speedway Park with five divisions in action, and saw Jaden Manick Gallivan race to his first career Claimer feature win for his efforts as the highlight of the evening. Track Champions were also crowned in the Super Trucks (Christy Barnett) and Claimers (Ryder McCutcheon) as it was their final points night of the season.

The Claimers were up first and although the event was cut short due to a multi-caution affair and a time limit, but pole sitter Jaden Manick Gallivan wired the field en route to the win. The event saw a season-high 27 starters, which resulted in multiple cautions and the event reaching the time limit after just 7 laps, but Gallivan was able to hold off a wild scramble out front by eventual runner up Tim Jackson over the last several laps. 9th starting Jeremy DuBois ran third with Michael Hartman fourth and Sherrii Minks rounding out the top five. Ryder McCutcheon picked up the track championship.

Fito Gallardo and Donavon Flores put on a show out front in the USRA B-Mod feature event throughout the event, which was also cut short due to time constraints, but while the field was under green, the racing was intense. Gallardo, who started 4th and Flores, who started 5th moved in on pole-sitter Mingo Jauregui early in the action and both were able to race by into the top two spots before the mid-point of the race. As the laps wound down, Gallardo used the cushion to his advantage and overtook Flores off of turn four to take the lead and then was able to withstand a last lap challenge for the win to race to victory. Flores ran second with Christy Barnett, racing from 13th to 3rd, finishing just ahead of Aasa Flores and Dustin Smith when the checkered flag flew.

Dawson Manicki and Rusty Bowen paced the field to green at the start of the Super Truck feature event with Bowen gaining the advantage on lap one and working to drive away from the field early, while Javie Chavez and Christy Barnett worked into the top five early on as well. Bowen continued to lead until both Chavez and Barnett were able to race by to begin their battle for the top spot. Chavez was too strong tonight as he was able to outrun Barnett for the victory, with Barnett, who was crowned as the 2021 track champion for her efforts this season in second. Sherman Barnett ran third with Devan Smith fourth and Lloyd Duffey crossing the line with a fifth-place finish.

Josh Jackson raced from 7th and then withstood a crazy last few laps to win the Legends feature event ahead of Dusty Riggs, Jacob Masterson, Luis Esquivel and Mike Money when the 20-lap event was finished. The battle up front all race long between Jackson, Riggs, Zach Rodriquez, Aydan Saunders and Peter Smith was fun to watch until Saunders, Rodriguez and Smith were involved in a hard crash just as the field was about to take the checkered, eliminating Rodriguez and Smith and sending Saunders to the tail. On the 1-lap shootout that ensued, Riggs have it everything he had to try to sweep by Jackson to the lead, but Josh was too strong and raced to the victory.

The final event of the night was the Modified feature as drivers were getting their last laps before the 21st annual USRA Fall Nationals coming up on October 21st-24th. Jaime Torres redrew the pole and set out into the top spot at the drop of the green, but was quickly in a battle out front with Fito Gallardo and Nick Rivera as they came to call early. Rivera snuck to the bottom of Torres and assumed the top spot, while Gallardo was working up high trying to get by as well. Once Gallardo stole second, he set his sights on Rivera and began to pressure Nick for the lead. Just behind the leaders, Todd Harper got to third, while 21st starting Jimmy Ray and 15th starting Philip Houston were on the move toward the front before the mid-point of the event. As the laps wound down, Rivera and Gallardo were in a good battle out front with Harper a solid third. All eyes began to watch Jake Gallardo, who was sent to the tail for a mid-race spin, try to work his way back to the front as he was in a hot battle with Ray and Houston for fourth. Rivera got into lapped traffic over the final circuits, allowing Gallardo to pressure him for the top spot, but Fito’s bid to steal the lead on the last lap came up just short as Rivera was able to get to the finish line first. Fito ran second with Harper third. Jake rallied to cross the line in fourth, just ahead of Houston in the top five.
