Hector Barraza won the Hacienda Carpet & Tile USRA B-Mod main event.

Topless Night was held at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM on Saturday, September 25th, which featured the USRA Modifieds and USRA B-Mods racing without roofs, along with a full program for the Super Trucks, Legends and Claimers in action.

The Claimer main was the first on the schedule after intermission and ended up with pole sitter Tim Jackson running away from the field en route to a dominating victory for his efforts. Jackson jumped out front on the initial start and quickly disappeared out front, while 12th starting Cole Turner, 15th starting Ryder McCutcheon and 11th starting Daniel Sanchez Jr. were working their way through traffic on their way toward the front. Jackson completely dominated the event, while Turner outran McCutcheon for second with Jaden Manick Gallivan and Jeremy DuBois rounding out the top five.

Aydan Saunders raced from his 12th starting spot to yet another victory in the night’s INEX Legends main event after working by early leaders Dusty Riggs and Josh Jackson to claim the top spot. Saunders has had a great season during 2021 and added to it with the win, padding his points lead in the process. Saunders, Riggs and Jackson put on a good show out front, while Dave Smith and Zach Rodriguez were in a good battle for fourth and fifth for much of the race as well. Saunders went on to win with Riggs ahead of Jackson in third. Peter Smith charged from his 20th starting spot to 4th at the checkered with Dave Smith in fifth at the line.

Hector Barraza raced to his first career feature win after coming out on top of a wild USRA B-Mod feature, which saw Sherman Barnett lead early, Xavier Ortega and Christy Barnett pressuring him during the mid-stages of the race and Donavon Flores challenge him during the closing laps, but Barraza was up to the challenge and held off everyone for the victory. The event was entertaining from start to finish and after a late race caution, which bunched up the field, Barraza was able to hold on for the popular victory. Flores finished a closer second with Ortega, Aasa Flores fourth and 17th starting Fito Gallardo in fifth.

Christy Barnett pounced on the opportunity to steal the lead from race long leader Esteban Reyes in the Super Truck feature to claim yet another victory from her 13th starting spot when the 20-lap event wrapped up. Reyes took the lead from the pole and looked like he was on his way to his first career win until Barnett got to second and was able to overhaul him for the top spot and then drive away with the win. Reyes ran a very solid second with 11th starting Lloyd Duffey, Brian Kleine and Cliff Evrage crossing the line in the top five.

Jonathon Ortega has hit his stride at the right time of the season with the $21,000 to win USRA Fall Nationals just around the corner and raced to his second straight USRA Modified victory from his 4th starting spot to claim the $1,000 top prize for his efforts. Tim Tharp jumped into the lead from the pole on the start and lead early until Ortega was able to race by him into the lead and then build a sizeable advantage over a great battle for second between Christy Barnett, Royal Jones and Adams. Jones and Barnett battled nose to tail and side by side for many laps for the runner up spot, while Ortega stretched his lead lap after lap out front. The lone caution of the 25-lap event flew on lap 24, which gave Jones and Barnett one last shot at race long leader Ortega, but Jonathon was too strong and raced off with the win. Jones got by Barnett for second with Fito Gallardo fourth and Nick Rivera rounding out the top five.
